On the same instance, such number should not also appear anymore on the subgrid where it is assigned. Such rules make completing a single Sudoku puzzle take you some time.
How you can fill in that numbers into your blank Sudoku grid? Here are some of the basic strategies you can use:
• Always keep in mind the rule of the Sudoku puzzle game in order to have focus and direction in solving it. Since you are aware that duplication of such numbers is not allowed in the game, you can now use it as a hint in considering other numbers to be filled in.
• In solving a Sudoku puzzle, you must always prioritize searching for some possibilities. These are numbers that can be possibly placed on the blank cells of each column, row, or subgrid. Therefore, if you have an idea of what numbers you can possibly fill into, the more easier for you to select the numbers suitable for that particular cell.
• Start working with the numerical digits 1 to 9. Since there are already numbers initially placed on other cells, can use this as a clue in search for other missing numbers.
• If you suddenly get confused, just go back and look on each number you have already filled in. This will give you a hint whether you have missed a number or not. Once everything is settled with that particular area, you can now proceed to the puzzle and complete it.
