What advice would you give to make the transition from home life to college easier?

Just because you can do whatever you want now, doesn't mean everything is good to do. Think ahead of time about what you want to experience and do in college. Then stick to your morals and values.
I found the most important thing was life-long friendships. So, invest your time in new friends.
This is a time when you are deciding what type of person you want to be for the rest of your life. You can go to college and be a totally different person than you were in High School.
