John Grinder and Richard Bandler, at the time a student of psychology, went on to develop a new filed called Neuro Linguistic programming. They began working together after Bandler invited John to some of his therapy groups. It was there that he became aware of the way therapists use linguistic patterns to great effect with their patients.

The language patterns used by therapists such as Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir and Milton H. Erickson, who was a hypnotherapist, was used along with transformational grammar as the basis for John Grinder and Richard Bandler to come up with their own model called Neuro Linguistic Programming.

Further developed using the published works of the above therapists, the model John was working on later became Neuro Linguistic Programming. Since then John has also co-written many works on the practical applications of NLP and the theories behind it.

The self confidence gained by practitioners of NLP has enabled many to become more successful in both their personal and professional lives. Many people have trouble believing just how radically their lives have been changed for the better after using the principals of Neuro Linguistic Programming. The changes are often even visible to co-workers and family members who are unaware of your learning NLP techniques.

Understanding NLP will help you better understand those around you. neuro linguistic programming will also help you achieve your own goals by helping you to co-ordinate your thoughts, behavior feelings and words. It won’t happen overnight, but gievn time it will work.
